Volunteer With Us
Share your time, skills and kindness
Volunteers are an important part of life at Good Companions.
They help us welcome members, prepare for activities, host community events and create the friendly atmosphere that makes the Club special.

Why Volunteer at Good Companions?
Volunteering is a practical way to:
- Help adults 50+ stay connected and involved
- Meet new people
- Share your experience and skills
- Support local programs and events
- Gain community and nonprofit experience
- Be part of a welcoming organization
You do not need to be over 50 or be a Club member to volunteer.
Ways You Can Help
Volunteer opportunities change throughout the year and may include:
Events and Community Gatherings
Help with concerts, celebrations, social suppers, birthday luncheons and other special events.
Tasks may include welcoming guests, serving refreshments, selling tickets, setting up rooms and helping with cleanup.
Welcome and Hospitality
Help first-time visitors and members feel comfortable when they arrive.
This may include greeting people, answering basic questions and helping someone find their activity or program room.
Programs and Activities
Support games, music, recreation, movement, creative activities and other regular Club programs.
Some volunteers help an existing activity run smoothly, while others may have a skill or interest they would like to share.
Gardening and Outdoor Projects
Help care for our garden and outdoor spaces through planting, watering and seasonal cleanup.
Office and Administrative Projects
Assist with suitable office tasks, mailings, organizing materials, preparing event supplies or helping with a short-term project.
Technology and Special Projects
Help with technology, photography, communications, digital projects, equipment or other practical needs.
Setup and General Club Support
Help prepare rooms, move tables and chairs, organize supplies and support suitable building or improvement projects.
